Browns
Browns DE Myles Garrett says he has no plans to change how he players after being flagged for unnecessary roughness against the quarterback three times this season.
โIf Iโm going to go out there and make some plays, make a lot of plays and at the backend I might get an unnecessary roughness every three or four games, I donโt want to make it a habit, itโs not something I want to do, but if thatโs what happens and Iโm still making big plays consistently, I guess thatโs my toll,โ said Garrett, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
โIโm still going to play football the same way.”
Regarding the hit on Jets QB Trevor Siemian, Garrett says he didn’t intentionally land on him.
โI donโt feel like I intentionally landed on the guy or hit him late,” Garrett said. “Only thing I did wrong that game was jumping offsides twice, thatโs the main point I can take from that, but strike zone, I looked at it, I hit him right in the chest, he went down, he tried to plant his foot and when he planted his foot, his knee went up, went into me and I fell right on top of him, thereโs nothing much I can do about that.โ
