Browns
Browns’ CB Denzel Ward hopes that he is good to go against the Giants after missing the past three games due to a calf strain.
โWe’ll see come game time. I feel like I’m ready,โ Ward said, via Nate Ulrich of The Akron Beacon Journal. โI feel like I’m healthy. I got out there to practice today. I was running full speed and was able to cut and do all of the movements I feel I needed to do. I’m looking forward to it. Looking forward to getting back out there.โ
Ward also opened up about his injury, which began to hamper him during the end of a game.
โI felt it towards the end of the fourth quarter, but I was just trying to keep my leg loose, kind of just go through it and still be there to finish the game,โ Ward said. โAfterwards, it was just a little difficult to walk and everything. I thought it was just natural soreness and just being hurt from the game. But once it was like too difficult to walk and then I had an MRI, they said I strained it. It was tough, but that’s how life goes sometimes. Just fighting hard to hurry up, get healthy, and get back out there to play with my team. We’re not trying to look too far ahead, just trying to take it a game at a time and see where we are come the end of the year. I feel that we’re definitely changing the narrative of the Browns over the past years.โ
