Browns
Browns RBs coach Kirby Wilson believes RB Isaiah Crowellย has “only scratched the surface” of his potential and is looking forward to him taking another step this season.
“Thatโs very accurate that he [only] scratched the surface,โ Wilson said, via Nate Ulrich of the Beacon Journal. โHeโs not even in his prime yet. He has to continue to work hard. He saw what happens from last year โ when you work extremely hard, good things happen for you. I think he enjoyed that limited success, and heโs hungry and eager and looking for even more this season.”
Wilson added that the team also expects “big things” from RB Duke Johnsonย in 2017.
โHeโs hungry,โ Wilson said. โHeโs very knowledgeable. Heโs a great worker. Heโs committed to being the best that he can be. Heโs one of our better leaders and one of our better playmakers. So we expect big things from him starting in training camp.โ
Dolphins
Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said his year of experience with HC Adam Gase has helped to slow the game down for him and allowed them to build a stronger rapport.
“I think throughout last year and throughout this offseason, weโve kind of fallen into a groove with each other of understanding what heโs trying to get out of certain things,โ Tannehill said, via Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. “He knows what I want to do on certain plays. He knows how I like to run certain things. That makes the game happen a lot faster. It makes it slow down. It makes it easy for me to just go out and let it rip because Iโm not trying to decipher what weโre trying to do. We have the reps together. And now itโs just a matter of making it happen.โ
