AFC Notes: Browns, Jaguars, Ravens


Nate Ulrich of takes a look at the most intriguing position battles on offense and defense for the Browns this year.

  • On the offensive side of the ball, Ulrich lists left tackle, No. 3 receiver, running back and quarterback.
  • As for the Browns’ defense, Ulrich says the positions to watch are strong safety, cornerback, linebacker, and nose tackle.



Ryan Mink of writes that undrafted WR Janarion Grant has a “real shot” at earning a spot as the team’s return man this season.

“[Ravens special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg] says he loves me a lot,” Grant said. “He’s been looking at me, watching me and thinks I can do great things for the Ravens. I know I can as well. I just have to go out there and show them I can. I need to show them that I can better myself and better the team.”
