AFC Notes: Colts, Jaguars, Titans

Colts

Colts’ sixth-round WR Dezmon Patmon said he has learned a lot from the team’s virtual offseason program but admitted that he misses the benefits of physical workouts.

โ€œYou can do all the Zoom classes you want all day and everything, but itโ€™s different when you actually get a chance to go out there and run it and get the muscle memory down and stuff like that,โ€ Patmon said. โ€œItโ€™s beneficial when you actually have guys you can go through stuff like that.โ€

Patmon added that he does not feel any added pressure to make the Colts’ active roster after missing out on a real offseason program thus far.

โ€œAt the end of the day, Iโ€™ve been doing this since I was a little kid. So I think that as long as I know the plays and Iโ€™m able to go out there, get in the rotation and compete, then I can show my skillset,โ€ Patmon said. โ€œI donโ€™t think that there is any really added pressure or anything like that. You kind of have the opportunity. I just have to make the best of it โ€” thatโ€™s with all things.โ€

Jaguars

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell indicated that they were unable to find a trade partner for DE Yannick Ngakoue after the 2020 NFL Draft and would welcome him back “with open arms.”

โ€ณI think his options are very limited at this point,โ€ Caldwell said, via John Reid of Jacksonville.com. โ€ณWe will welcome him back with open arms when heโ€™s ready to come back, and we will look forward to it.โ€ณ

  • Reid writes that there has been “no movement” on the Jaguars possibly trading Ngakoue.

Titans

The Tennesee Titans announced some new changes to their front office on Thursday including:

  • Adolpho Birch III: Senior Vice President/Business Affairs and Chief Legal Officer
  • Surf Melendez: Creative Director
  • Dan Werly: General Counsel
