AFC Notes: Colts, Jaguars, Titans

Colts

Colts’ sixth-round WR Dezmon Patmon said he has learned a lot from the team’s virtual offseason program but admitted that he misses the benefits of physical workouts.

You can do all the Zoom classes you want all day and everything, but it’s different when you actually get a chance to go out there and run it and get the muscle memory down and stuff like that,” Patmon said. “It’s beneficial when you actually have guys you can go through stuff like that.”

Patmon added that he does not feel any added pressure to make the Colts’ active roster after missing out on a real offseason program thus far.

“At the end of the day, I’ve been doing this since I was a little kid. So I think that as long as I know the plays and I’m able to go out there, get in the rotation and compete, then I can show my skillset,” Patmon said. “I don’t think that there is any really added pressure or anything like that. You kind of have the opportunity. I just have to make the best of it — that’s with all things.”

Jaguars

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell indicated that they were unable to find a trade partner for DE Yannick Ngakoue after the 2020 NFL Draft and would welcome him back “with open arms.”

I think his options are very limited at this point,” Caldwell said, via John Reid of Jacksonville.com. ″We will welcome him back with open arms when he’s ready to come back, and we will look forward to it.″

  • Reid writes that there has been “no movement” on the Jaguars possibly trading Ngakoue.

Titans

The Tennesee Titans announced some new changes to their front office on Thursday including:

  • Adolpho Birch III: Senior Vice President/Business Affairs and Chief Legal Officer
  • Surf Melendez: Creative Director
  • Dan Werly: General Counsel
