AFC Notes: Colts, Ravens, Steelers

Colts

New Colts DE Justin Houston said during his introductory press conference that he still has “plenty left in the tank.”

“I have plenty left in the tank,” he said, via Colts.com. “And I think some people don’t believe that. So it’s more so what I’m about to show the world than myself, because I know what I’m capable of.

As for moving to 4-3 defensive end, Houston mentioned that he doesn’t expect it to be an issue for him.

“I don’t think it’s going to be a big difference because nowadays it’s a passing league,” he said. “So 70, 80 percent of the time you’ve got your sub (package) out there and I’m rushing the passer anyway. I think that’s just going to be a part of the game and I get to do that every down and not have to worry about dropping into coverage. So I think my job will be easier than it has been in the past.”

Ravens

  • Louisiana Tech DE/OLB Jaylon Ferguson worked out privately for the Ravens on Thursday. (Aaron Wilson)
  • Eastern Michigan DE Maxx Crosby has an upcoming workout with Ravens.

Steelers

  • According to Jason La Canfora, there was a “strong buzz” coming out of the Michigan Pro Day the Steelers having interest in LB Devin Bush.
  • La Canfora adds that Pittsburgh had a heavy contingent there including GM Kevin Colbert and several coaches. However, it remains to be seen whether Bush will actually still be on the board for the Steelers at No. 20 overall.
