Hoping the Colts pursue DE Yannick Ngakoue and DT Chris Jones, CB’s B. Jones (Dal) or J. Bradberry (Car) in free agency. If we have to use a draft pick on a QB we will need to buy quality in the need positions, save TE, RB, S, LB, WR for the draft.
Ballard doesn’t like to overpay in free agency so if that trend continues in 2020 I would like to do what Cleveland did by buying out Brock Osweilers 16Mil contract for the Texans 2nd round pick. I here the Jags want out of Nick Foles 20Mil contract bad, no sense cap money just wasting away, buy out Nick Foles’ contract for Jags 2nd round pick. Probably be around the 40th pick.
Then after we get Nick Foles’ contract we selling him to a QB needy or salary cap hurt’n team for another 2nd round pick, catch is we pay his salary that particular team gets a QB to compete for the starting job with no money coming off there cap. Guys working for Ballard in the war room please pass it on!
You don’t have to move on from Brissett by giving Chad Kelly a two game trail, are we afraid if he does great we’ll have a QB dilemma? If he does great you move him to the #2 spot and save money by releasing Hoyer’s much larger paycheck, perfect time to test Kelly! Lets think smarter not harder.
