Jaguars

The Jaguars are expected to make a number of moves to create cap space this offseason. Some will be easy, others will be tougher calls, including DL Calais Campbell who is set to count $17.5 million against the cap in 2020 and was still playing at a high level this past season. Jacksonville could save $15 million by releasing the 33-year-old Campbell, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be able to find a better use for that money, particularly if you ask Campbell.

“You have to pay for talent, and I’m a very talented player. So I don’t think my cap number is too high at all, based on my performance,” Campbell said via John Reid of the Florida Times-Union. “But I understand what the situation is with the team not in a great cap situation. But these guys are really good at this, and they’re going to make it work.”
