Broncos
Broncos HC Vance Joseph told reporters that QB Case Keenum needs to do a better job of taking care of the football.
“I think Case would say this: just taking care of the football better,” Joseph said, via Pro Football Talk. “We’re in the high red zone last week and we give one away. We gave three away against Seattle after defensive turnovers, so he would tell you guys probably taking care of the football. Again, I’ve been really impressed with Case and how he’s come back from those plays and continued to play at a high level for our offense.”
- The Broncos officially list CB Adam Jones (thigh), LB Brandon Marshall (knee), S Dymonte Thomas (abdomen), and OT Jared Veldheer (concussion) as questionable for Week 3.
Chargers
- The Los Angeles Chargers officially ruled out DE Joey Bosa (foot) and OT Joe Barksdale (knee) for Week 3’s game and have TE Antonio Gates (illness), WR Travis Benjamin (foot) and FB Derek Watt (thumb) listed as questionable.
Raiders
Raiders veteran CB Leon Hall wound up spending the night in a Denver hospital following their Week 2 game, due to issues he experienced because of the sickle cell trait he has.
“The sickle cell trait got to me,” Hall said, via Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “And usually, I can handle it pretty well. I’ve played there a couple times, and I’ve had the same issue, kind of, but not as extreme. That one kind of came out of nowhere for me.
“Breathing is tough. Chest is hurting. You feel real fatigued — ‘heavy’ would be a good word for it, too. It’s not a good feeling, especially when you’re trying to play defense and cover people. It’s not great.”
- The Raiders officially ruled out DT P.J. Hall (ankle) and have CB Nick Nelson (hamstring) listed as questionable.
