Broncos HC Vance Joseph said Tuesday that he’s “proud” of QB Paxton Lynch for coming out and competing in OTA practices.

I’m proud of Paxton,” Joseph said, per Nicki Jhabvala. “He’s not relaxing. No relaxing. You guys got that? (laughs) He’s competing. He wants to be a great player.”

Chargers

  • Chargers QB Philip Rivers said Tuesday when asked about the possibility of the team re-signing TE Antonio Gates: “It would get my vote” (NFLTR)
  • Chargers second-year WR Mike Williams spent today’s OTA practice on the sideline due to a “mild strain” to his hamstring. (Jack Wang)

Raiders

  • Raiders veteran RB Doug Martin has reportedly impressed the team’s coaching staff in OTA workouts with his burst. (Scott Bair)
  • Michael Gehlken mentions that it’s possible Martin could cut into Marshawn Lynch‘s workload this season if he can stay healthy.
  • Martin told reporters: “I’m a rookie again…Past couple of years, I just got in my own way…not focusing on the right things. If you read the news, you probably know what happened.” (Paul Guiterrez)
