Auburn OT Greg Robinson Visiting Texans This Week

Jason La Canfora reports that Auburn OT Greg Robinson is visiting with the Texans on Wednesday and into Thursday.

Robinson is considered by many to be the best offensive tackle prospect in this year’s draft class, which could really be saying something given that Jake Matthews and Taylor Lewan are also among the available offensive tackle prospects.

He has also met with other teams drafting in the first six picks including the Falcons, Rams and Jaguars. The Browns have also come up as a team to watch in the event that he’s still on the board at No. 4 overall.

The Texans are widely expected to target one of the top defensive players such as Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack, or possibly trade out of the No. 1 overall spot. If they move down a few spots and Robinson drops a bit, he could be someone they look at, even though they have a decent left tackle in Duane Brown.

We have the Rams taking Robinson at No. 2 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
