Baltimore Ravens And QB Joe Flacco Still Not Close To New Deal

Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com reports that talks have continued between the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco, but the two sides are still not close to a new deal.

LaCanfora says there is not a sense of immediacy for a deal to be done before the start of the new season. Flacco is participating in offseason workouts, and has no plans to hold out. Flacco is set to make $6.76 million in base salary in 2012, as well as a $2.1 million roster bonus.

Baltimore are in a ‘cap crunch’, as LaCanfora puts it. They have not agreed to a new contract with running back Ray Rice either, who was given the franchise tag.
