Bears Fear LB Nick Kwiatkoski Has Season-Ending Pectoral Injury

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Bears LB Nick Kwiatkoski is feared to have a pectoral injury that would end his 2017 season.

The Bears have reportedly scheduled an MRI for Kwiatkoski to determine the severity of the injury.

Should the MRI confirm that Kwiatkoski is done for the season, you can expect the Bears to quickly place him on injured reserve and add someone to their roster.

Chicago just placed veteran LB Jerrell Freeman on injured reserve last week, so their inside linebacker depth is very limited.

Kwiatkoski, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.915 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Kwiatkoski has appeared in two games and recorded six tackles and no sacks or interceptions for the Bears.

We’ll have more regarding Kwiatkoski as the news is available.
