Bears OL Eric Kush Out For Season With Hamstring Tear

Bears HC John Fox announced that OL Eric Kush is out for the season after suffering a torn hamstring, per Zach Zaidman.

Chicago will likely place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Kush, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2013. He lasted just over two years in Kansas City before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season and later claimed by the Buccaneers.

After brief stints with the Panthers, Texans and Rams, Kuch was claimed off of waivers by the Bears at the start of last season. Chicago brought him back on a two-year, $2.7 million contract that included $500,000 guaranteed.

Kush stands to make base salaries of $800,000 and $1.4 million over the next two years.

In 2016, Kush appeared in eight games for the Bears and played a total of 279 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
