The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve placed OLB Pernell McPhee on injured reserve and promoted LB Jonathan Anderson to their active roster.
- The Bears also signed WR Mekale McKay to their practice squad.
The Bears’ practice squad now consists of:
- OL Brandon Greene
- DB Doran Grant
- WR Nelson Spruce
- G Travis Averill
- WR Tanner Gentry
- WR Demarcus Ayers
- G Will Pericak
- TE Colin Thompson
- DE Caushaud Lyons
- WR Mekale McKay
McPhee, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. He spent four years in Baltimore before signing a five-year, $38.75 million contract that included $15.5 million guaranteed back in 2015.
McPhee stands to make base salaries of $6.95 million and $7.2 million over the next two years.
In 2017, McPhee appeared in 13 games for the Bears and recorded 21 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
