Crawford, 25, was selected in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Texans. He agreed to a four-year, $2.7 million contract with Houston and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
However, Houston waived Crawford in October of last year and was quickly claimed by the Dolphins. He signed to Miami’s practice squad in December of last year but was released and joined the Bears’ taxi squad.
He was among Chicago’s final roster cuts coming out of training camp and re-signed to their practice squad.
In 2019, Crawford appeared in five games for the Texans and Dolphins and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
