Bears Re-Sign RB Napoleon Maxwell, Place CB Michael Joseph On IR

The Bears announced Monday they have re-signed rookie RB Napoleon Maxwell and placed CB Michael Joseph on injured reserve. 

Maxwell wound up going undrafted out of Florida International this past April. He later signed a three-year, $2.28 million contract with the Bears.

He was waived by the Bears earlier this month. 

During his college career at FIU, Maxwell rushed for 2,090 yards on 392 carries to go along with 30 receptions for 233 yards receiving and 23 total touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 45 games. He also totaled 296 kick return yards.
