Mike Wright reports that the Bears have reached an agreement in principle with free agent TE Martellus Bennett.
The Bears were believed to be targeting Bennett and fellow free agent TE Jared Cook, but this is a great signing for Bennett, who really is one of the most underrated players in the league. He’s a great run blocker and really improved as a pass catcher for the Giants last season.
