The Chicago Bears signed C Andre Gurode Tuesday evening, per Adam Caplan.
Gurode has started 127 games in his NFL career and adds both depth and experience to a Chicago Bears offensive line decimated by both injuries and incompetence this season.
RG Lance Louis and G/C Chris Spencer are both injured, with Louis’ torn ACL keeping him out of action; the Gurode signing allows the team to be more flexible along the line and protect Jay Cutler from interior pass rushers.
