The Chicago Bears officially signed G Willie Beavers to a futures contract for the 2019 season on Wednesday.
As of now, the Bears have signed 13 players to futures deals including:

- DBย Michael Joseph

- LBย Josh Woods
- G Willie Beavers
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Beavers, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.87 million contract with the team but wound up being among their final roster cuts a few months later.
Beavers was on and off of the Vikings’ practice squad and had a brief stint with the Seahawks before the Bears signed him to their practice squad this past season.
In 2016, Beavers was active for two games while playing for the Vikings.
During his college career at Western Michigan, Beavers was a three-year starter and a first-team All-MAC as a senior.
