Adam Caplan reports that the Bears are expected to sign LB Danny Mason to a contract on Thursday.
Mason, 25, originally signed a future/reserve contract with the Broncos back in May of last year. He was unfortunately placed on waivers coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the team’s practice squad.
The Bears later signed him to their taxi squad midseason before bringing him back on a future/reserve contract in January. Chicago elected to cut him loose a few weeks after this year’s draft.
Mason has yet to appear in an NFL game.
