Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears have signed former Buccaneers LB Geno Hayes.
Hayes, 24, wound up recording 64 tackles and forced two fumbles and managed to play in all 16 games last for Tampa Bay. Joining the Bears will allow him to remain in a similar defensive scheme, but Pro Football Focus actually rated him as the #39 4-3 outside linebacker out of 44 players, so he’ll have to show some improvement next year if he plans to see any amount of regular playing time.
