Bears Promote LB Jonathan Anderson, Waive WR Tanner Gentry

The Chicago Bears announced that they have promoted LB Jonathan Anderson from their practice squad to their active roster and waived WR Tanner Gentry to make room for him.

Anderson, 25, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in May of 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad.

Anderson has been on and off of the team’s active roster since entering the NFL.

In 2017, Anderson has appeared in six games and recorded eight tackles and no sacks or interceptions for the Bears.
