Damond Talbot of NFL Draft Diamonds reports that the Bears have signed DT Daniel McCullers off of the Steelers’ practice squad on Wednesday.
McCullers terminated his practice squad contract with Pittsburgh on Tuesday, so it was clear he was likely to end up with another team.
McCullers, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2014. He played out his four-year, $2,298,680 contract with the Steelers before returning to Pittsburgh in 2018 on a one-year deal.
From there, the Steelers signed McCullers to two-year deal worth $2.75 million last year. However, he was released coming out of the preseason and later re-signed to their practice squad.
In 2019, McCullers appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and reocrded eight tackles, no sacks and a pass defense.
