Bears Signing OLB Robert Quinn To Five-Year, $70M Deal

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears are signing veteran DE/OLB Robert Quinn to a five-year, $70 million contract that includes $30 million fully guaranteed.

There was some buzz about Quinn possibly ending up with the Falcons, but it appears as though the Bears stepped up to close the deal.

This is a pretty solid contract for Quinn at $14 million per year.

Quinn, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2011. Los Angeles traded him to the Dolphins in 2018 for fourth- and sixth-round picks.

From there, the Dolphins traded Quinn to the Cowboys last year and he played out the final year of his four-year, $66.575 million extension. He’s now an unrestricted free agent.

In 2019, Quinn appeared in 14 games for the Cowboys and recorded 34 tackles, 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 47 edge rusher out of 107  qualifying players.

We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
