Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Bengals hosted Florida DE/OLB Jachai Polite and Ohio State DL Dre’Mont Jones for pre-draft visits on Friday.
Polite met with the Rams earlier in the week.
Polite will be one of the more interesting players to watch in this year’s draft, given that he’s one of the better pass rusher prospects. However, he’s had a pretty bad pre-draft process that has included questionable interviews at the Combine and poor testing numbers.
Some have said that Polite could be in for a drop, possibly to Day 3 while others believe he could still be in play for a team in the latter portion of round one.
During his three-year college career at Florida, Polite recorded 78 tackles, 15 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and four pass defenses.
