Bengals Place Tyler Boyd, Dre Kirkpatrick & Jordan Evans On IR, Promote Three

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Friday that they’ve placed WR Tyler Boyd, CB Dre Kirkpatrick and LB Jordan Evans on injured reserve.

The Bengals also promoted RB Quinton Flowers, OT Kent Perkins, and WR Hunter Sharp to their active roster.

Boyd, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $4.237 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $787,179 and $980,769 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Boyd has appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and caught 76 passes for 1,028 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

Kirkpatrick, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $8.622 million rookie contract before agreeing to a five-year, $52.5 million deal with $12 million guaranteed back in 2017.

Kirkpatrick stands to make base salaries of $9.15 million and $9.4 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Kirkpatrick appeared in 13 games for the Bengals and recorded 41 tackles, no interceptions and nine pass defenses.
