Bengals Re-Sign DT Pat Sims

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed DT Pat Sims.

Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com recently reported that Cincinnati was trying to close an agreement with Sims and a deal had been “simmering for weeks.” and notes that Sims’ agent,

Sims, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2008. He spent five years in Cincinnati before signing on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Sims later returned to the Bengals last year and is once again an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Sims appeared in eight games for the Bengals and recorded 16 tackles and no sacks. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 218 snaps last year.
