Bengals Interviewing Florida’s Todd Grantham For DC Job Tuesday

Update:

Adam Schefter reports that Florida DC Todd Grantham is interviewing for the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive coordinator job on Tuesday.

Will Sammon of the Athletic reports that the Bengals have formally requested permission to interview Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham for their defensive coordinator job.

According to Sammon, the feeling right now is that Grantham is a “lead candidate” for the Bengals’ job.

Other names recently linked to the Bengals include Rams DBs coach Aubrey Pleasant, Falcons DC Marquand Manuel, Texas A&M DC Mike Elko, and Saints DB coach Aaron Glenn

Grantham, 52, began his coaching career back in 1990 at Virginia Tech. After a few years at Michigan State, Grantham took his first NFL coaching job with the Colts and would go on to work for the Texans, Browns and Cowboys.

Grantham returned to college for the 2010 season as the assistant HC/defensive coordinator at Georgia. He had stints with Louisville and Mississippi State before Florida hired him as their defensive coordinator last year.
