Bengals Sign Second-Round Pick RB Jeremy Hill

Bengals second-round pick RB Jeremy Hill announced via his Twitter account Sunday that he has signed his rookie contract with the team.

Hill’s four-year contract is worth an estimated $3,753,600 and includes a signing bonus of $1,049,892, according to OverTheCap.com.

It was little surprising to see the Bengals use a second-round draft selection on a running back in back-to-back years, but it appears as though they there are preparing for Hill and Giovani Bernard to be their future running back tandem once BenJarvus Green-Ellis is no longer in the mix.

At LSU, Hill totaled 2,156 yards rushing on 345 carries (6.25 YPC) and scored and 28 touchdowns over the course of two years. Hill has decent size 6-foot 5/8 and should be able to push Green-Ellis for playing time in year, depending on his performance during training camp and the preseason.
