Bills & Broncos Had Trade Agreement, But DEN Decided To Take Bradley Chubb

Adam Schefter reports that the Bills and Broncos had agreed on a trade for the No. 5 overall pick, but Denver decided to select N.C. State DE Bradley Chubb when he fell to them.

Chubb was largely expected to be selected by the Browns at No. 4, but Cleveland surprisingly wound up drafting Ohio State CB Denzel Ward.

Chubb, 21, was drafted by the Broncos with the No. 5 overall pick out of N.C. State in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was named the 2017 ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Nagurski Trophy winner, and was also a Hendricks Award winner.
