Bills QB E.J. Manuel Cleared To Practice, Could Return In Week 10

Bills rookie QB E.J. Manuel has been cleared to return to the practice field, per Mike Rodak.

Still, the decision as to whether or not Manuel will play against the Steelers in Week 10 is up to HC Doug Marrone.

“Definitely looking forward to getting [back to] practice full course, getting as many reps as Coach allows me to get,” Manuel said Monday. “It’s his decision at the end of the day.

Manuel suffered a sprained LCL during the Bills Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns. At the time of the injury, Manuel was given a four to six week timetable, so a return next weekend remains on par with the team’s initial expectations.

The Bills were forced to start Jeff Tuel as Thad Lewis is dealing with a number of injuries since he took over for Manuel a few weeks ago.

We’ll have more on Manuel’s status throughout the week.
