Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Bills have signed P Colton Schmidt to a contract on Saturday.
Schmidt, 23, previously signed a three-year contract with the 49ers, but lasted a little over a month with the team before he was placed on waivers. The Browns claimed shortly after, but once again cut him loose after just a few days.
Ha later signed a future/reserve contract with San Francisco only to be waived last week. Schmidt has yet to appear in an NFL game.
