- Mike Garafoloย reportsย that Spikes receives a one-year deal from the Bills.
There was not much buzz surrounding Spikes this offseason, but he didย work out for the Dolphins last week.
Spikes was suspended for four-games last year, but never caught on with a team during the 2015 season.
It is worth mentioning that Bills’ second-round LB Reggie Ragland is dealing with a knee injury that could be serious.
Spikes, 29,ย is a former second-round pick of the Patriots back in 2010. He spent four years in New England before signing on with the Bills for the 2014 season after finding a limited free agent market.
The Patriots elected re-sign Spike to aย one-year contract worth $1.1 million last year, only to release him in June afterย he was involved in a carย accident and left the scene.
In 2014, he appeared inย all 16 games and recorded 54 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and three pass defines.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the N0. 13ย inside linebackerย out of 60ย qualifying players due in large part to a very solid rating as a run-defender.
