Blaine Gabbert Expected To Be Ready Sunday

Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey expects QB Blaine Gabbert to be available for the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Colts, per Gene Frenette.

“Mularkey says Gabbert injury not so severe that he will miss time this week. He anticipates Gabbert will play vs. Colts,” Frenette tweeted.

It’s likely that Gabbert will be limited in practice this week as he nurses a toe and hamstring injury. Gabbert could have certainly stayed in the game on Sunday if the Texans weren’t blowing out the Jaguars. Mularkey may have pulled Gabbert out of the game to protect him and prevent him from further injury.
