Brandon Flowers Leaves Chargers Visit Without A Contract

Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribute San Diego reports that free agent CB Brandon Flowers left his visit with the Chargers without a contract.

  • Gehlken sources mentioned that his meeting with the Chargers “appeared to go well.”

Gehlken isn’t ruling out the possibility of San Diego signing him to a contract at some point in the near future as the Chargers have signed a few free agents in recent years after they left without contract offers.

Recent reports have mentioned that Flowers has received the “heaviest interest” from ChargersFalcons and Vikings. The PatriotsRavens and Steelers are reportedly among the group of teams monitoring Flowers as well, so it seems possible that more visits could be lined up in the next few days.

Flowers, 28, is coming off of a down season, but reports have mentioned that he expressed a desire to leave Kansas City last season after he was forced to play in the slot. Flowers has already put together a number of quality seasons in the NFL and should have plenty to offer a new team in the coming years.

Last season, Flowers appeared in 13 games and totaled 68 tackles, one sack, an interceptions and seven pass defenses for the Chiefs.

We have Flowers listed as the No. 1 player in our recently updated Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.
