Brandon Jacobs Expects To Be Back With The Giants Next Year

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs told the New York Post that he “fully expects” to be back with the team next season after speaking with his agent.

I spoke with my agent and I do expect to be fully back with the New York Giants next season,” said Jacobs. “These guys in the front office they’ve been doing this for years, they know what they gotta do. I want to be back, but they actually know what has to be done.”

It’s was previously mentioned that Jacobs could be cap casualty considering that New York is projected to over the salary cap.

If they don’t want me back then that’s another story,” said Jacobs, “but I got a feeling that they do. I definitely plan on being Big Blue for the 2012 season.”

Jacobs is under contract for $4.9 million next year which includes both his salary and roster bonus. He’s said that he opening to restructuring his contract for the second straight season to remain with the team.
