Brandon Weeden Under Center Is A Work In Progress

Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal writes that QB Brandon Weedenthrew the ball well during both practices today, but working under center is clearly a work in progress for him.

Weeden is coming out of college playing in a spread offense which features the quarterback in the shotgun formation.  So it’s not surprising to hear that he “fumbled two snaps during the afternoon practice.”

However, Weeden said that he likes “being under center more because you can see what’s going on and you get the ball immediately,” he goes on to say that “If I had to pick one of the two, not that I don’t like being in the shotgun, but I like being under center,” per Ulrich.

While Weeden may be struggling with being under center as of now, the Browns coaching staff has plenty of time of get him comfortable under center before the regular season starts.
