Mike Garafolo adds the deal is worth more than $95 million with $40.5 million in guarantees to make Warner the league’s highest-paid inside linebacker.

Warner is one of the best young linebackers in the NFL and his new $19 million average annual salary tops Seahawks LB Bobby Wagner‘s three-year, $54,000,000 contract that included $40,250,000 guaranteed.

Warner, 24, was drafted by the 49ers in the third round out of BYU in 2018. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $3.979 million deal and was set to make a base salary of $3,384,000 in 2020.

Warner was set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2022.

In 2020, Warner appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and recorded 125 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and six passes defended.

We had him included in our Top 50 – 2022 Free Agents list.
