Adam Schefter reports that Chargers WR Tyrell Williams will be signing with the Oakland Raiders.
- Schefter says Williams gets a four-year, $44 million contract with $22 million guaranteed from the Raiders.
several teams including the Steelers, Colts, Browns, Jets and Bills since free agency opened, but it looks like the Raiders made him the best offer.
Williams will give the Raiders a solid No. 2 receiver to compliment Antonio Brown.
Williams, 27, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon back in 2015. He managed to make the Chargers’ 53-man roster the past two years and returned to Los Angeles on a one-year restricted tender worth $2.914 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and caught 41 passes for 653 yards receiving and five touchdowns. He also rushed for 15 yards on two carries. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 66 receiver out of 117 qualifying players.
