Brian Schottenheimer Expected To Be In The Mix For Seahawks’ OC Job

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Colts QBs coach Brian Schottenheimer is expected to be in the mix for the Seahawks offensive coordinator vacancy now that they’ve parted ways with Darrell Bevell.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times recently put together a list of potential offensive coordinator candidates for the Seahawks, including Eagles QBs coach John DeFilippo, Toronto Argonauts HC Marc Trestman, former Panthers OC Mike Shula, former Broncos OC Mike McCoy, and former Texans and Broncos HC Gary Kubiak, so they’re also worth keeping an eye on in the coming weeks.

Schottenheimer, 44, began his NFL coaching career with the Rams in 1997 as an assistant. Since then, he’s worked for the Redskins, Chargers, Jets and Rams before joining the Colts in 2016.

Schottenheimer has nine years of coordinator experience with the Jets and Rams.

We’ll have more regarding the Seahawks’ OC search as the news is available.
