Brian Urlacher Will Play This Weekend, But His Knee Is “Never Going To Be The Same”

Chicago Bears MLB Brian Urlacher mentioned that his left knee “just isn’t the same anymore” and is “never going to be the same.”

“The knee has been an issue, obviously, since last season,” Urlacher said, via the Chicago Tribune. “Felt good going into training camp. I was excited about it. Then, I kind of aggravated my knee during training camp. Then I had surgery, a little minor surgery, and it feels good again now. That’s all that matters, I feel good going into the season.”

Despite the obvious concerns, Urlacher was adamant that he will be available for this weekend’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Chicago plans on restricting his workload to start the season, which really makes sense. Urlacher has looked great in recent years, so it will be interesting to see if there’s a noticeable difference in his ability to start the season.
