Broncos Promote RB Jeremy Stewart & Waive RB Kapri Bibbs

The Denver Broncos promoted RB Jeremy Stewart from their practice squad on Saturday and placed RB Kapri Bibbs on waivers, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

The Broncos had to add some depth at running back given that Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman are both out with injuries. C.J. Anderson and Juwan Thompson will operate as the team’s top two running backs for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

Stewart, 25, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2012. Since then, he’s played for the Jets and Raiders before joining the Broncos a little over a month ago.

Stewart hasn’t appeared in a game this season, but he saw some limited playing time last year while playing for the Raiders.

  1. No idea what happened with Bibbs he looked good every time I saw him carry, very very happy CJ & Juwan are going to get a chance to play for a full game…I really hope they BOTH get a min of 12-15 reps…we have got to get committed to the running game and I believe that if both these guys are given enough chances they will prove they can make big game changing plays and get the job done.
