Broncos Still Targeting A QB In The Draft

Pro Football Weekly writes that the addition of Caleb Hanie will not prevent the Broncos from targeting a quarterback in the draft.

PFW mentions that VP John Elway “spent all fall scouting quarterbacks for the draft” and the fact that they’re without a long-term prospect at the position, makes the idea seem fairly plausible. The report adds that they expect Denver to take someone in the first four rounds.

Obviously, the addition of Peyton Manning should by them some time, assuming that he stay’s healthy in the coming years, but it really wouldn’t be surprising to see them come away with a developmental prospect this year. They do have other positions to address so the only question will be how early they’re willing to take a quarterback.
