The Cleveland Browns announced Saturday that they’ve activated RT Jack Conklin and K Cody Parkey from the COVID-19 list.
The Browns also promoted G Michael Dunn, DE Cameron Malveaux and FB Johnny Stanton to their active roster.
Conklin, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Titans out of Michigan State back in 2016. He played out the final year of his four-year, $15,897,658 deal and made a base salary of $2,617,863 for the 2019 season.
The Titans declined Conklin’s fifth-year option that would have been worth $12.866 million, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2020. He signed a three-year, $42 million deal with the Browns in free agency.
In 2020, Conklin has started eight games for the Browns at right tackle. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
Parkey, 28, originally signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2014. However, he was traded to the Eagles after a few months in exchange for RB David Fluellen.
Parkey had brief stints with the Eagles, Browns and Dolphins before signing a four-year, $15 million contract that included $9 million guaranteed with the Bears in 2018. Chicago designated Parkey as a post-June 1 cut following his infamous missed field goal in the 2018 playoffs.
Parkey signed with the Titans in 2019 but was released after just a few games. He caught on with the Browns practice squad at the start of the 2020 season and was later promoted to the active roster.
In 2020, Parkey has appeared in eight games for the Browns and made 11-12 field goal attempts and 23-24 extra points.
