Browns Open To Trading G Kevin Zeitler?

According to Aditi Kinkhabwala, it would not be surprising if the Browns also moved on from veteran G Kevin Zeitler.

Kinkhabwala has been told that Zeitler name has been “thrown around some“, implying he could be available for trade.

Kinkhabwala adds that it was the old Browns’ regime that made him the highest paid guard in the NFL and the new regime elected to draft Austin Corbett in the second round last year.

Zeitler, 28, was taken in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft out of Wisconsin. He played out the final year of his four-year, $7.544 million rookie contract when the Bengals elected to pick up his fifth-year option.

From there, the Browns signed Zeitler to a five-year, $60 million deal that included $31.5 million guaranteed in 2017.

In 2018, Zeitler appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 6 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
