Browns GM Tom Heckert May Stay On After Season

Browns GM Tom Heckert has a chance to stay as the team’s GM after the season, per Fox. Rumors abound as to whether or not Michael Lombardi will take Heckert’s job.

“There’s really not a lot of substance to the conversation,” Lombardi said. “There’s just a lot of rumors and innuendos. There’s really nothing to it.”

Heckert was part of the staff that drafted key contributors like Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden and Josh Gordon; the Browns have been competitive in a good number of the contests they’ve played this season, so a shake-up at the top may not be necessary.

  1. Mr. Haslem….You’ve got a pretty darned good GM in place. I have four words that are connected for all time that you can think about…..Michael + Lombardi + JaMarcus + Russell……

    • Well said. Heckert has brought some good talent to the Browns. Lombardi is on the NFL Network for a reason, he is a poor excuse for finding talent. He also said getting Josh Gordon was a mistake and not worth a second round pick, ah right.
