According to Aaron Wilson, the Cleveland Browns have re-signed CB Phillip Gaines to a one-year deal.

The Browns acquired Gaines in mid-2018 after claiming him off of waivers from the Buffalo Bills.

Gaines, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,824,112 contract and made a base salary of $700,000 before signing on with the Bills in 2018.

In 2018, Gaines appeared in 11 games, seven for the Bills and four for the Browns, and recorded 39 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses.
