Browns Rookie WR Jordan Payton Suspended Four Games For PED Violation

Browns rookie WR Jordan Payton has been suspended without pay for the final four games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy, per Mary Kay Cabot.

Payton, 23, was taken in the fifth round of this year’s NFL draft. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2.584 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $450,000 and $540,000 over the next two years.

In 2016, Payton has appeared in four games for the Browns but has caught just a single pass for three yards and no touchdowns.
